The evolution of these games is dramatically different, but there has been no change in the rules, only a change in the intent of the players. An observer, unfamiliar with the rules, but hoping to devine the rules by keen observation is in a hopeless situation. To the ignorant observer, strategy and intent, cannot be separated from the rules. From their perspective, the rules of the game (the laws of physics) have changed suddenly, discontinuously, for no apparent reason. The change is literally miraculous.
